Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of a double standard after McConnell called for an ethics investigation into Sen. Al Franken, yet called for Moore to quit his Senate race outright over multiple allegations of misconduct with teenage girls.

Franken, D-Minn., apologized Thursday and also called for an ethics probe into the allegations against him after a radio broadcaster said he forcibly kissed and groped her during a USO tour in 2006.

Franken, D-Minn., apologized Thursday and also called for an ethics probe into the allegations against him after a radio broadcaster said he forcibly kissed and groped her during a USO tour in 2006.

Moore is at odds with McConnell after the majority leader called for him to step aside after multiple women said Moore was inappropriate with them when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s, including one who said Moore initiated sexual contact when she was 14. Several other women have come forward to allege sexual assault or other misconduct by Moore since the initial allegations were published last week.

After McConnell said Moore should step aside earlier this week, Moore defiantly told McConnell that he was the one who should go, tweeting: "The person who should step aside is @SenateMajLdr Mitch McConnell. He has failed conservatives and must be replaced. #DrainTheSwamp."
