Myeshia Johnson, the widow of U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson - one of the four soldiers killed in action earlier this month in Niger - has so far raised over $700,000 for the "Sgt. La David T Johnson Scholarship" campaign on GoFundMe.

The fundraiser was started on October 16th, 2017 and has the following description:
"On behalf of the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our Role Model Son and American Hero, Army Sergeant La David T. Johnson. This Sergeant, 25, of Miami Gardens, Fla., was ambushed in Niger while providing training and security assistance to the Nigeriens Armed Forces in the region overwhelmed by Boko Haram. What a tragedy! Role Model Sgt. Johnson leaves behind two children, ages 2 and 6, along with his beloved wife and soulmate Mrs. Myeshia Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is currently pregnant with their third child. The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, is establishing a Role Model Army Sgt. La David T. Johnson Scholarship to benefit his children by providing money towards their college education. We are asking you to donate to this worthy cause. Please, donate generously today."
Curiously enough, the "5000 Role Models of Excellence Project" was founded in 1993 by Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson, according to its website:
Wilson recently found herself in the center of controversy when she secretly eavesdropped during a private condolence call President Trump made to Johnson shortly after her husband was killed on October 4th.
According to a new TIME article, the call was on speakerphone and Wilson was in the car with Johnson on their way to meet the late serviceman's body.
Trump had slammed Wilson in a tweet for what he called her "fabricated" account of the phone call. On Monday, he insisted he had a "very respectful conversation" with Myeshia Johnson. Trump also said he spoke her husband's name "from beginning, without hesitation."
Earlier tweets:
Even though Trump claims he has proof that Wilson lied about her account of what was said during the call, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed there is no transcript (although it is possible the call was recorded):
While the mainstream media is chomping at the bit to jump on yet another opportunity to attack Trump...

...A few questions remain unanswered:
What are Congresswoman Wilson's true intentions considering she swooped in almost right away after Sgt. La David Johnson's tragic death?
Is she simply comforting a grieving widow or trying to politicize the death of an American hero for her own (financial) gain?
Also:
Why has there not been much coverage on the other three soldiers who died during the Niger ambush?
Why is the focus of this tragedy solely on La David Johnson? What about the other grieving widows, children, families and friends?

As White House Chief of Staff John Kelly mentioned last week, not many things seem to remain sacred or "off-limits" these days.
Not even the deaths of those who have served this great nation.
