Shia LaBeouf Set To Star In An Adventure Drama Titled 'The Peanut Butter Falcon'

Although Shia LaBeouf is currently living alone in a secluded cabin in northern Finland as a part of his latest "art project," he is already set to star in an indie adventure film titled "The Peanut Butter Falcon."

The film, which will be produced by Lucky Treehouse Pictures and directed by Tyler Nilson (The Moped Diaries) and Mike Schwartz (Scrubs, Big Lake), will feature a man named Zak who is afflicted with Down Syndrome.

After Zak escapes from his nursing home to pursue a career in professional wrestling, he encounters Tyler (played by LaBeouf). Tyler is "a small-time outlaw on the run" and becomes Zak's friend and life coach.

According to the film's producers, "Together they wind through deltas, elude capture, drink whisky, find God, catch fish, and convince Eleanor, a kind nursing home employee with a story of her own to join them on their journey."

Part Huckleberry Finn and part Han Solo was used to describe Tyler's character; just a "crab fisherman from the Outer Banks of North Carolina who is down on his luck."

The release date of "The Peanut Butter Falcon" is unknown at this time.
