Russia Sends Warship Towards U.S. Destroyers In Response To Strike On Syria


[Mediterranean Sea] On Friday, Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich (RFS-494) headed to the region where two US Navy destroyers launched 59 cruise missiles into Syria, targeting the airbase that was allegedly used in the recent chemical attack.


A US defense official told Fox News the Russian frigate has sailed through the Bosphorus Strait from the Black Sea.


Parallel to this recent development, one of the US destroyers used in the tomahawk missile attack began heading to an undisclosed location to resupply.


A diplomatic source in Moscow told TASS, a Russian news agency, that the warship would be making a stop at a Syrian base.


The source reported, "The Russian ship armed with cruise missiles Kalibr will visit the logistics base in Tartus, Syria."


The Admiral Grigorovich's presence in the mediterranean will last longer than a month, according to the source.
